Need Sonic input
I feel like playing a Sonic game for some reason, and there are a few (older) Sonic titles on Steam. Problem is, I don't know which game is the better...Sonic 1, Sonic 2 or Sonic 3. (for reference: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?s ... term=sonic ) I'm only interested in one of those games, not the newer ones or the spinoffs. I may not buy after all regardless since I find 5 € a bit steep for a rom remaster, but who knows. If someone could give me some info on the games in the meantime it'd be much appreciated. I'm thinking of Mole in particular, as he seems to know his Sonic shit.

Re: Need Sonic input
I can't tell you which one is better, but i'd think you're better of playing it on an emulator (at first).
I've played my sonic games in my days btw, but i don't seem to remember much about them.

Re: Need Sonic input
I had sonic on my Sega Genesis. It was fun, though probably very repetitive by today's standards. I think that would be Sonic 1, but I dunno. Can't say much beyond that, though. Mole I'm sure will have more to contribute.

Re: Need Sonic input
Sonic 2 is by far the best game.
Sonic 1 set a standard for platforming gaming for sure, but Sonic 2 gave that a steroid injection of Speed.
Sonic 3 started to lose it a little, though it is still a solid game.

Re: Need Sonic input
It's definitely the superior Sonic game - whenever they release a shit Sonic title [anything since Sonic and Knuckles] everyone pipes up with a resounding, "why can't you just make another Sonic 2?"
p.s. I know that I'm using square parenthesis a lot, my number nine key is broken.

Re: Need Sonic input
Is everyone in Europe a poor bastard that can't afford a new keyboard (or rusty nail)?

Re: Need Sonic input
Haha, I've actually replaced the keyboard - it was on my laptop; and some girl I know spilled her drink in there. I replaced the keyboard hoping that it was just that which was damage, but alas - the liquid had found it's way inside the laptop itself and manifested it's evil there

Re: Need Sonic input
Ah, that sucks. I once spilled a beer in a keyboard, then blamed someone else for getting a virus on the PC. Yea, it was really the keyboard. Oh well.

The girl was hot too, so like a fool I let her get away with it. Shoulda put her in the rape zone haha.
