Re: Derf's Games Radar
Not a fan of Steam, I take it? Though it's not optimal, it's not completely horrible either, imo. Then again, I guess that depends on the specific game... when you have Steam's DRM plus Games for Windows plus some other painful DRM, it's completely horrific. On the other hand, Valve, at least, seems to support their games fairly well. Of course, Shogun isn't Steam... I expect a ton of crappy DLCs to come out in rapid succession for this game.

Re: Derf's Games Radar
I didn't install the demo cos of the 834994298272 Terabyte size. That, and I heard it doesn't really show you the AI improvements, as Satis confirmed.
This one IS on my radar, but it's in the Jade sector.
lol @ Pevil's rather out-dated anti-Steam-ness.

Yeah Pev, being anti-steam is so 2005 (cue Valve starting to charge money for steam and we lose access to all our games )

Re: Derf's Games Radar
Nah, too many Americans on Steam... it'd be 3, 2, 1, class action lawsuit.
I haven't gotten around to playing the demo again, so I can't say if you can actually PLAY the game at any point.
BTW, something I noticed, when you break an enemy unit, it now loses its flag. It still becomes the gaggle of people running away, but no more flag to click on. That may only happen when they're broken to the point where they won't reform a unit... but it still kinda sucks, as it makes chasing down survivors that much harder.
The demo does show a monk of some sort come into your province and somehow incite a rebellion. That's interesting, but may just be part of the demo and not the actual game. Pretty annoying, really. At least Empire: Total War had a REAL demo. There was no doubt how the game would play.

Re: Derf's Games Radar
What gave away my Steam hate? Even ox's offer of a free game didn't get me to sign up to it again! hehe. Shame the demo sucks a little, but hopefully the actual game is good. I'll wait for you guys to waste your money and review it for me

Re: Derf's Games Radar
The game is flawless, but my PC didn't give me a blowjob while I was entering the CD key. / out of 5

Re: Derf's Games Radar
Hehe. Jade Master Derf lives on Jade-o-bah in a little hut in the swamp. He uses the power of the jade to train young Luc Jadewalker in the powers of the jade.
