It's not just wife and kids, it's work as well. I seem to be doing more for school each year. Meh.
Gonna mix the kid's food now lol.

lol @ J. I bought the game for Shiny and myself. I also wiped my PC and installed Windows 7, but it's still unstable. I think my graphics card is taking a crap. I used Riva Tuner to max my card fan... that should help. I don't really feel like buying another graphics card. That'll be the second card that died by heat death in my rig.
Anyway, the game itself is pretty good. Shiny's doing well, considering it's an FPS and she struggles a bit with those. I'm the soldier, she's the chick (of course). I'm totally getting the "must loot more guns" vibe.

Yea, i constantly force myself following the code of not picking up staff that costs less than 4k. Make sure you keep an eye out for those downed claptraps. It helps if you turn on the subtitles, then you notice easily when one is close by.

It's not bad. It's a bit repetitive... Shiny's not digging it all that much, I think. Get mission, kill shit/loot shit, go back, turn in. Rinse and repeat. Still, I find it enjoyable. It's not the be-all end-all game, though.

Not as involving as L4D was and L4D2 will probably be then?

much more content than L4D, imo.... more gameplay. L4D is way more repetitive, since you play the same damn maps. Just different, though. Apples and Oranges as it were. I dunno, I'm still only level 12 or so. It's quite possible that the game becomes more unique in the future.

You probably already know, but L4D2 is going to feature an AI director that can open/close paths and options dynamically and/or differently every time you fire up a map. That should take away some of the repetitiveness of the original (we can do No Mercy blind-folded by now I think).
Might still buy Borderlands...much will depend on you guys playing too tho. You don't have a berserker yet right?

I'm playing a soldier. Was torn between him and the sniper. The big, beefy bastard was less of a possibility. Anyway, I'd be cool playing. It's an easy game to pick up and drop.

Borderlands playstyle is somewhat similiar to far cry 2. I dont know why but thats the feeling i got after 15 levels.
