Satis?
By things I got from this forum (I never had time
to search your own site) I can conclude you're
one 3D artist or similar or more in 3D world.
I hope you remember my story of all-seeing eye
(FOV=360deg), yes?
That thing was (and it is and it will be) my
obsession for last 1.5 years but, it seems others
are not much interested in experimenting with such
a things.
So, I must ask you: didn't you feel challenged
against ability to render pure (not deformed as
it seems at first info) scenes with FOV=360deg?
What you think about that at all?

I think GFree is trying to describe an application that creates just a normal, front and human like view of a 3D image.
Whereas i think Satis is trying to describe an application that scans a room/place at a 360degs and then makes one long but short image of the horizontal scan.

Ok this is what I meant by fov:360x90. If you wanna
more screenies or to show what you have about this
matter, feel free to post it here.
.
Satis, you said me to remind you to render something
with fov:360 in your rendering software and whatever
it is. Have you time now?

ok, I lied, Bryce does allow you to do it directly. As proof, I'm uploading a render. I scattered objects all around the camera and did a 360 degree panoramic render.
I'm also adding a link to a quicktime VR rendering I did of the same scene. It's about 1MB and you have to have quicktime installed to view it, but it'll let you move the camera around so you can see the limitations of the render. There is a little bit of area straight down and straight up that's not seeable, but it's a pretty small area.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

err, I have no idea what you're talking about, sorry.
As far as the 360 degree panorama thing, I could render a movie out of it. Of course, it'll be huge, and I know your bandwidth/storage constraints.
