Lol, awesome. Still, by the time you actually need a geiger counter for serious radiation detection in the places we're all living in (densely populated urban areas), things may be already be incredibly fubar.

I don't know if you guys have heard of arduino boards or not, but they're basically cool controllers that people can use for all kinds of open source hardware hacking. It's awesome stuff. I prefer dirty iodine. Hey, I bet the Japanese are wishing for more Geiger counters. Besides, you never know if a nuclear war is going to happen. It'd be nice to have a fairly simple geiger counter that you know how to fix. |
