Im not going anywhere this weekend, i hope that i can complete the main campaign of NWN2 by the end of the week. I am currently at the trial so its a long way to go. My bard/disciple kicks ass and occasionally he just flops and drops dead, hehe. It all depends on how the concealment roll goes. I use the Kiss of Sune mace which has a 50% DC14 roll to hold person. |

I'm BACK!! Well for a few days anyway, I'm off again on Friday. To another place this time, too. I need to 'get rid' of my amount of holidays, seeing as I still have 12 more days off for the remainder of the year even after I come back next week. Anyway, I spent a lot of time riding bikes up exceedingly steep hills (and down too, fortunately) and doing insane trekking trips of a couple of hours in the burning sun, with some cultural visits, swimming and reading in between. I actually have something of a tan in my face, neck and on my arms, which is...rare. Yesterday was stressful though: we'd rented a car from Avis for the last day so we could drive back to the airport ourselves etc, and parked it way down a gravelly country road for a last swim in a tucked-away bay (featuring, to my enjoyment, some topless girls - but I digress). When we came back up from the water, we started it, turned it around and...it died. Just flatlined. Uphill, sideways over the narrow road (which is the only way out of the bay). This was some 3 hours before we actually needed to be at the airport. Now, it's not a busy road and it was a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn't like there were 15 cars behind us or anything, but we still had to make sure we could get it out of the way while we called for assistance. So we pushed the bugger UPHILL for like 10 meters with some handbrake pauses in between. My feet kept slipping on the gravel too, as you can imagine. When we managed to get it out of the way we speed-hiked to the civilised world, called Avis, went to check on the car with a mechanic they sent, grabbed a lift to another Avis office, exchanged the car keys and car, sped home, took an ultra-fast shower and packed like crazy, sped to the airport, checked in and made it to the plane on last call as the last 2 persons. Gah. I was sure that after all that trouble of getting to the plane, it was gonna crash just so Fate could shit in my face. It didn't, luckily. P.S. It was the latest Fiat Punto model with only 6000 km on there. So yeah, fuck you Fiat, crappy Italian POS cars. |

Yup, since I can stay there cheap. And because it's a pretty awesome place regardless. Gozo is even cooler. It's the smaller island of the two main islands of Malta and has a surface of only 14 km² 31.000 inhabitants, too! It's greener and even calmer than the main island. Next stop: Prague. Burgers and beers will flow in abundance. |

too much beer flows and yea, ambulances are usually involved. Shiny and I are back a day early. The weather turned on us and we came to realize that our tent does really stop the water. Thankfully we had an air mattress and water-proof sleeping bags, but all around it ended a bit miserable. I fished for the first time ever yesterday and caught 3 like striped bass (about 6 inches long each...I'll let you guys do the conversion). We tossed them all back. During and after that we drank...and drank... I passed out at some point, then woke up at 2:30am with water dripping in my face, a full bladder and a hangover. Anyway, it was fun, but we need a new tent, and I'm not gonna camp in the rain again if I can help it. |

Was it one layer tent or two layer? I have a two layer tent and it is totally waterproof. Unfortunately the thing with tents is that even when they stop the rain they do not stop the moisture so eventually they still end up being damp. Without somekind of heating source theres not much one can do about it. The hangover was kinda ironic though, since the cause of hangover is lack of water in the body but you seemed to have plenty |
