Lol, just put a question the registration page. "what colour is the sky" blue green "are you a" bot / human etc, have it run a query to the answer prestored in the database. Simple effective bot killing. |

Yea.... I just wish phpbb weren't such a pain to mod. All the templating makes it a bitch to do anything like that. I already added an extra static variable on the registration page... if the variable is missing on the submit page I know that someone just tried manually posting to the submission. It was mildly effective...I think I eliminated 25% of the bot registrations. Unless I want to ban all anonymous posters though I'm kinda stuck with this kinda stuff. |

Said it before : EasyMod Or just wait till the new version of phpBB comes out and hopefully it should have much better built in spam control. |
