I never heard anything of a split tbh..I'm not a big fan of Tool but I like em well enough, so it's sweet.  And Derf, Maynard Keenan is Tool man...well, kinda.

yea, well, I never really heard about an official split, but Tool suddenly stopped making albums and A Perfect Circle started...sooo....
