Yeah i've seen something about that on tv (i think discovery channel). It was mainly for urban warfare purposes in that particular example, to avoid human casualties as said. Earlier models had stun-guns instead of real guns though, but they were radio-controlled, with camera's, blabla, as in the article. Those things had good and fast aim, really surprised me.
Strange thing though was that there HAD to be a soldier with the robot, to confirm a target, so that the robot would not shoot an innocent or something. Imo that was strange, you use robots to avoid getting humans in the line of fire, but you send soldiers with. And things have to be decided in fractions of a second. But i guess that's the future, having robots do the dirty work.
