yea, I agree. Man is surprisingly resilient. Even a large asteroid may not wipe us out entirely. I mean, you've got people living in 140 fahrenheit (60 celsius) up to -40 fahrenheit (-40 celsius, surprisingly) or more.

World population is the major factor here.

And the fact that people change their names.....i.e. bj is now tyranus
hell they may even be looking for you right now .....though why anyone would want to find bj is questionable

the ozone layer will go eventually. And even though I love blaming americans, its not just them that cause it. It's got freaking massive holes in allready, (which last time the calculated, will take 4 years of zero pollution to "re grow") temperatures are getting hotter, ice caps are melting. we'll eventually drown, be swallowed by the sun (not in our lifetime) or die from heat. Sounds like hell on earth.

Defeatist bullshit. Last year the (only!) hole in the ozon layer grew a little, but the years before that it got smaller.
Temperatures may be getting hotter, but that's been going on long before the industrial revolution, look at a Dutch painting from the 16th century, always big ponds and rivers frozen and people skating over it, later that vanished, the CO2 emission only speeds things up.
And as you say, being swallowed by the sun will take a few billion years.
Don't believe everything Greenpeace tells you. If there's one thing green activists can't do is a scientific calculation.
