Re: Good films..
Yeah inception was pretty awesome. Thoroughly enjoyable action thriller, and pretty clever.

Re: Good films..
I went to see The Expendables a few days ago. It's so incredibly bad, I mean, probably the worst movie I've seen in a movie theatre in a long time. But that makes it also incredibly enjoyable...the bad dialogues, the non-existant plot, the OTT violence, the generally awful acting = super happy fun time! Me and my friend laughed our asses off for 80% of the entire movie, so we got our money's worth out of it. Problem is that I don't think Stallone intended for that effect through the entire movie. Some parts, clearly. But not the entire time. Overall: hilariously bad film, truly. Worth your money if you a) are into 80's action flicks and can appreciate the hilarity of bad movies or b) have money and time to spare.

Re: Good films..
Toy story. Fucking hell. Right, ok if you haven't seen this film I highly recommend it; it's full of all the same old gags and stuff from the old ones that make it a fun experience, HOWEVER That being said, the film was AWESOME. 3D made it even better

Re: Good films..
On a small sidenote, they aired Batman and Robin on tv here yesterday, twice on the same channel lol (around 12h and around 22h or so). I watched part of it (had seen it earlier) and boy, had i forgotten how totally crap this film was. I just had to change channels, terrible terrible terrible.
Haven't seen many good films recently.

Re: Good films..
Just seen: No End In Sight: It's ok but that's about it. Right now the whole Michael-Moore-esque type docu films against the wars in Iraqistan are not telling my anything new. Stopped watching after about 75%. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vINM0CAysc8Michael Clayton: I could only bare the first quarter. Possibly one of the most boring films ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHckVQm4cW0Rush Hour 1, 2, 3: Flawless hilarity throughout.

Re: Good films..
Oh, yea, I watched Michael Clayton. It's a boring freakin' movie. I actually finished watching it and it's just... boring. Definitely don't recommend it.

Re: Good films..
I've been watching a couple of spaghetti westerns lately (all directed by Sergio Leone): Once Upon a Time in the West: 10/10 Great acting, great score (off course, it's Morricone) and surprisingly funny, considering the inherent sadism and even infanticide present. Definitely his best. The pacing seems slow, but because you know anyone could die any moment, it never becomes boring. A Fistful of Dollars: 7/10 A bit disappointing. The characters aren't as fleshed out as you would like, some of the characters actions seem random and far from smart. It's also a one-on-one copy from a Japanese movie Jojimbo (I'm going to watch that one too soon). A Few Dollars More: 9/10 A huge improvement from the earlier film. Lee Van Cleef's character (he's The Bad in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, but plays an unrelated character here) steals the show here. Both he and Unca Clint clearly have a black belt in bad-ass, but Van Cleef tops it off with a few dan. I haven't watched The Good, the Bad and the Ugly yet in this run, but I did do that some years ago, it's also an awesome film, but I'll have to watch it again to compare it to the other ones.

Re: Good films..
So I watched Inception on Monday. It's a pretty good movie, I think. Satis rating: 8/10. Translated to :2/10 The premise is interesting, though it takes awhile to start moving. At one point they're in the "planning" phase for their little endeavor and the pace gets shot in the face... it reminded me of those heist movies like Oceans blah blah. I don't know why people think that stuff is interesting... to me it's pretty lame. But the dream parts are what makes the movie, and the vast majority of the movie goes into that. So, despite some poor parts to the movie, mostly it's pretty freakin' cool. The "plot twists" I, of course, figured out way ahead of time, but I guess you have to cater to your audience, which is mostly stupid.
