Dang J, good to hear you and your car came out unscathed. And as long as it's not a new car who gives a crap about aesthetic damage right?
One of my colleagues got hit in the side by a Dutch guy who slipped in the snow in the morning, heh. Nothing bad, just some surface damage.
And I'm freezing my nads off...-13 C° is kinda not cool. I'm even wearing two shirts (and a sweater, and a winter coat) today. Not that it stops my ears from freezing.
I hate Satis and his 0 C°.

Ice? It was so cold inside that stuff froze?
@ Satis: I pretty much die in 40 C°, but I've experienced it on a few occasions. Not in Belgium, obviously. But when I was in Malta for 3 weeks it was 40+ C° in the shade for a long time. It wasn't TOO bad actually, as long as you adapted to the lifestyle: get up early, don't do shit through the day (sleep, read, sit around), then wake up in the evening and enjoy the cool.
Belgium does know periods of heavy heat, but it's rarely more than 34 C° or something. The problem is mostly that
a) apart from some public buildings and shopping centres, nobody really has airconditioning (or whatever you guys call it over there ) and houses are heavily insulated...so when the heat comes it, it stays in.
b) Belgium (and Western Europe in general) is much more humid than places more to the South. The heat is heavy, sticky, very unpleasant.
I'll try to take a pic of the park nearby here tomorrow, just for winter's sake.

lol, nice pic. I think you need cowboy hats, to fit my stereotype of the Texan. Never rode a horse - no idea what it's like.

my ass still hurts. It was fun and a lot easier than I would've thought. I look forward to doing it again.

AWWWWW!!! Congrats! He is so cute. So much hair! And his adorable little ears. His hands are so tiny! He really is a cutie. OK, so maybe I'm weird or just a chick I dunno but you have to show his cute little feet and toes! Baby feet are the best. (Which is funny since I hate adults and childrens feet.)
When was he born? And I mentioned to Satis that I was surprised we had not heard anything yet. How long is he? Weight? Does he still have the post birth blue eyes or have they changed yet?

He came monday (2 march) at 15.12h. He was due 22 feb, but seemingly enjoyed it there. So we had to come in to get the labour induced. But it went pretty smoothly and didn't take ages, i've heard other (horror) stories.
He's 50 cm tall and weighed 3.570 kilograms. If you're using some weird system, find a converter
His eyes will change i guess, but my wife has blue eyes, so they might turn blue.
First night he was really great, even had to be woken up to eat. Second night was a disaster, since my wife is breastfeeding him and it needs a bit of time to 'kick in' and he needs some time as well, he hadn't eaten enough during the day i guess.
That's why i'm at home tonight, trying to catch up some sleep so that at least someone here won't be exhausted when we get him home (friday normally speaking). But today it went okay during the day, so thumbs up it keeps improving.
I'll have to take a picture of his feet for you then Shiny

congrats J. don't worry...it gets easier for a little bit. All they do for the first couple weeks is sleep. Once they start staying awake for any amount of time is when the real "fun" starts. Anyway, enjoy it. He'll be 16 and trying to borrow your car before you know it. Or whatever legal driving age is over there.
