Part of it. I can get a general gist, but there are many words I don't know.
re: the FCC, I don't think that's really it. They don't typically care about musical performances, unless you're killing animals or doing something else to break the law. I'm not sure why Rammstein doesn't come to the US. I guarantee we have bands that are even more controversial, everything from skinhead nazi crap to 'kill the white people' rap to 'kill everyone' death metal. And Gwar... you can't forget about Gwar.

To be honest though I like Rammstein I wouldn't have particularly chosen to go to their concert either, but Mole had tickets so I thought why not. I'm gonna be the odd one out. Standing section and I don't mosh! hehe. Very few people I'd bother to see actually, I find most bands can't actually perform without their expensive, sound altering equipment
People I would love to see/have seen:
Green Day - seen
Nickelback - seen and seeing again 17/01/10!
Muse - seeing in Sept
Linkin Park - not that fussed, my fave band but doubt they're great live
My best concerts have been local bands with people I know:
The Atats - listen to their stuff unfortunately they don't exist any more; they were working on a record deal when the vocalist was killed in a car accident last June They're all split up and working on their own seperate bands now
City Hero - this guy called Guy worked with Mole and has an album on Amazon that I bought. The song What I Became on features in Moles latest CoD video as well
And I just discovered Seasick Steve thanks to Top Gear, he kicks ass! Go Youtube him if you like a bit of blues with an awesome sound.

Muse is an amazing live band, but I felt their music went a bit to the "meh" side lately. But Supermassive Black Hole was still pretty cool.
Seasick Steve is being indie-alternative hyped a bit over here too, but can't say i know him.

And Johnny Cash' cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt". Cuts through your heart, so well done. Somehow appropriate that a Trent Reznor song would end up with a man like Cash.
