How ever - the sun of ours could be a fake,
plus we are meat. we do contain various nutrients, and electrical energy. If we were the only ones to still exist as a form of energy, and the "harvesting fields" as vast as the matrix claims them to be, then surely it's possible

But nutrients are made by plants, those plants receive enrgy from the sun, wich isn't there.
Everything we do costs energy, energy we don't receive anymore, because there are no plants.

Which would be created from humans/artificial generation. Heck they can clone a human, why not a nutrient?

the amount of energy it takes to create and grow and maintain a human is greater than the amount of energy a human puts off. The entire theory is wrong.
Unless, of course, people aren't really there for creating energy. That's just a machine-created idea so people don't realize the REAL reason people are enslaved in the matrix... processing power. Our brains are the most powerful computers in existence. If they could all be tied together in a neural network, the processing power would be tremendous. Perhaps the machines have us hooked into the matrix not for power, but to maintain artificial intelligence.

I say that the Matrix can't touch this.

there ya go! It's a 500 petahertz computer with 20 petabytes of RAM. Or something.
In the movie they mentioned the machines used 'a type of fusion' in addition to humans for energy. Maybe they actually perfected nuclear fusion and that's their power source.
Or, hell, the machines have the entire world to mine resources from. Why not just expand into orbit and make massive solar power arrays that beam energy down to earth? Why even stay on earth? If I was a machine intelligence, I'd be expanding across the solar system. Lots of resources, lots of power. Plus the chance of the entire machine race getting wiped out of existence by some catastrophic occurence is virtually nonexistent.

Really, if those Matrix machine things could get their hands (or mechanical hydraulic arms) on you people, they would have enough energy for a few years The amount of energy you people spend on these theories....
