Even better (at times) is the Thorgal comic series. Especially the albums 'The Master of the Mountains' and 'The Crown of Ogotaï' are great: they deal with distortions in time and its implications -not too shabby for a series set in viking-ish timeslot.
But best is to read the entire series from album 1 on...so you understand and/or appreciate the complete storyline. Check your local library or something, maybe they have the series.

And speaking of the devil, I just stupidly did what I said I would do. I left my computer on, the monitor black out as per schecdule. So I didn't realise the comp was on. Before I know it, I'm playing XIII on the xbox, and then I wathced shanghai knights. Or noon. and however you spell shanghai.
