Re: Sid Meier's Beyond Earth
*spunks* Of course it will never be as good as Alpha Centauri (saying this partially as a nostalgia goggles person and partially because the general atmosphere of the game is still unmatched for a TBS game), but I have high hopes! Long interview on RPS about the game today btw http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/05 ... ore-207833

Ye, the release announcment inspired me to replay the origina Alpha Centauri, finished it couple of weeks ago. I was actually surprised the discs worked fine.

Re: Sid Meier's Beyond Earth
That game is still as solid as it ever was. Only annoyances are the massed troop movements in the late game by the AI, which take fucking forever.

80 from critics, 60 from fans. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/sid-m ... yond-earthKinda of confirms what I've heard from friends and read in reviews. It's a competent game but it's nothing special. Unfortunately. I'll wait for a deep discount + some expansions.
