Very sloppy, if you have half a brain you know that such a thing is very very sensitive, so you'd make sure to burn it properly.

Re: Ridiculous stuff
UK government is re-imposing the property purchase tax this month for first time buyers. The tax is 1% of the value of the property, which means for an average £165,000 home, £1650. Which is not a small amount for first time buyers who are scraping to save money for the deposit. Government schemes are already in place to "help" FTB's, such as loans to make up the deposit... so why the fuck are they re-instating the tax? How are they helping FTB's like this? Has the situation suddenly improved? Motherfucking incompetents, the lot of them. Several months of savings gone down the shitter in an instance for me and my partner, for no good reason whatsoever. This was our prime minister in November: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15810966Motherfucking pig.

Re: Ridiculous stuff
Sucks man. But yeah, they're all lying crooks. I'm considering voting communist for the first time in my life in the coming elections. Not because I believe in communism by any means, but because they seem to be the only 'traditional' party to not be in the pocket of big business so far. Of course the right-wingers, liberals and even christian-democrats are in their pockets, but even the socialists, progressives and the greens seem to be. It's more of a protest vote...they're unlikely to get elected into parliament anyway. @ Satis: if I can help it, I totally want to be part of the ruling class too. I don't have any moral problems with whoring myself out. But as long as I'm not, I'm gonna fight it...and it doesn't look like I will be part of the financial elite any time soon. For the record, I didn't mean a 'class war' between the employed and unemployed. But between the working people who are being squeezed like a lemon (even middle and upper middle class, in as much as that still exists) and the superrich and their government stooges and private security.

Re: Ridiculous stuff
British government is going ahead with a "Railway Review" that will aim to make more efficient and cost-effective Britains railway service. The idea is to cut costs by about £3bn over 7 years. Great news, no?
Well, they also need to make 1600 people redundant and also increase fare prices.
And just to give you an idea of current fare prices, a journey from Swindon to Bristol, a 1 hour 30 minute round trip costs £30. Swindon to Reading, a 1 hour round trip, £64. Yeah, I don't understand that either.
And I don't understand why it costs so much to carry passengers over 2 steel rails using a diesel powered vehicle.

Re: Ridiculous stuff
Probably because the cost for private school education went up for the bosses and guess who gets to pay it. What, did you actually think you were only carrying your own weight on your shoulders, only the rich can afford that?

Re: Ridiculous stuff
Interesting part of that sale is that Sotheby's actually gets a 18 million or so commission on that sale. Really?! For swinging a hammer and storing the painting? Goddammit. Anyway, another very 'logical' sign of our times: crisis everywhere, we need to cut back! Diminish social services! Fire people! In other news, rich dude buys painting for more money than was ever spent on a painting. I guess he must be feeling this crisis really hard then.
