Anyone using any mods? I'm accumulating all the mods and patches and such to store on clankiller. I hate stuff that requires registration. Even worse is the stuff that just plain disappears off the internet.
So far I've acquired
Official 1.2.0416 english patch
unofficial patch 2.2.0
BT mod 2.20
ooo patch 1.3
elven map redux 2.0
enhanced weather 1.1

I just use the colour map mod, nothing else (though I am tempted to download the mounted combat mod)

I tried to get whole OOO, but so far no luck, as I refuse to register somewhere for that sake.
Honestly, I'd gladly pay to get a download of that one, but I also have no secure/easy way of doing it.

I've got a copy. I had issues with the enhanced weather (CTD) that I need to sort out. Once I get a decently stable set of mods I'll post them all on Clankiller.
Regarding mods, I'd prefer ones that are 'awesome must-have' type mods that've been tried out. I can find plenty of long lists of mods that are 'must-have' but most just really aren't. I don't want a special alchemy backpack. I don't want a mini pet unicorn that'll scratch my butt.
Anyway, I'm still looking for some of the prettiness mods.

At the thing with eyes:
You are morbid! That's not what Dr Morb said.

Ok, here's another screenshot of my Spellsword *Cough*, currently level 3 but on the verge of 4th.
Done a few quests in the Imperial city, cleared out sideways cave and just inside Vilverin.
Much better

lol, sublimating your wishes for youth into your character are we now? You know you're getting old when the 'standard' age of your characters in Oblivion or Fallout and some such is 18. I can relate.

No insult meant, but in Oblivion older means uglier. That's not reality. But it forces me to take younger characters if I am going to like what I made at least a bit.

yea, my character's the same. I made him too young. To the point where I stripped him of clothes because I thought he was a female. Oh well.

Has anyone seen the Magica requirements for some of the spells in oblivion? Some are like 700+ WTF? For an Altmar with 100 Int and the Astronach sign you get max 450, without enchanting a whole set of clothes with fortify Magica!
Makes you wonder why they bothered with such uber spells nobody can use, not even some of the most high level mages in the game.

Those magicka requirements tend to lower as you advance in the skill of the school where that magic belong. That's how I used Ghostwalk with relatively low magicka: I was expert in Illusion.

I think you can still make spells with ridiculous mana requirements in the custom spell maker, but yeah, Gfree is right: it's all down to how good you are at that particular school.
I don't know which spell you were talking about, but you can always try to make a much less potent version of the spell you wanted to buy and then use that in the meantime. I always adapt the most useful spells (like night eye) to suit my skill at illusion. Night eye ftw!
