Are you familiar with the eighties cartoon series Freeman? Because i'm afraid i'm not going to like the movie since i will be comparing it to that. Add the nostalgia factor to that and the movie will have to be great to convince me.

Yeah, I watched it all (that had been emitted here), and even have a good part of it on VHS cassettes somewhere. The movie is really small in comparison with all that series (respect, they're great) and don't follow each detail straightly (actually both autobots and decepticons are presented pretty roughly). But hey, it's just a movie. And yes, I still dare to say it is worth seeing.
By the way, have you watched robotech? If yes, take a deep breath and click the link below:

I haven't seen Transformers yet. I was a big fan when I was a kid. Most people here agree that it was good with a few dissenters. I'll probably see it eventually.
We watched Alpha Dog yesterday. Yet another whacked out movie. Oh, and we started watching Alexander on Saturday. Ugh. It's some sort of super director's cut or something... it's 219 minutes long... And it's 219 boring minutes. We got about half way through with another disk to go. Ugh. We'll probably finish it, but omg.

Watched Resident Evil and King Kong yesterday.
RE: brainless entertainment, but okay to watch if you don't want to use your brains during the move.
KK: i actually got bored watching it and watched the last bit in fast forward. I guess they had some Jurassic Park stuff they wanted to use?

I got through about 20 minutes of King Kong before I turned it off out of boredom.
I like the Resident Evil movies though. Good stuff. Even Shiny likes them and she's not usually much of a fan of zombie movies.

Imo, REs are not less "brainly" than Die Hards or Transporters. And I like them (RE, DH, T). Now, I dunno which one you watched. I haven't seen the third part yet.

Haven't seen the second RE, just the first.
And Die Hard has a lot of good oneliners (not having watched nr 4, the trailer was ehm .. way over the top). But other than that it's like a rollercoaster ride: shut down your brain and enjoy the fun.
Nothing wrong with brainless entertainment btw.

I agree. I really enjoy the occasional brainless shoot-em-up. Those declined in volume significantly when Arnold stopped being an actor and started being the governator.

Went to the movies today, saw the final Pirates of the Caribbean. Well it was entertaining and had some nice humour in it, but i still think the first PotC was one of the best movies of the last decade. Dunno something in that movie touched my soul or something
Next will go see Simpsons and Die hard 4.

I have no idea what that movie is. Never heard of it. The IMDB description is rather vague as well.

In that case get Taxi, Taxi 2, skip 3rd and get 4th, they should be ultra cheap in US by now.
It's a french comedy about a taxi driver. Very good humour combined with very good cast combined with a ridiculous peugeot. Its a very good comedy.

We finally saw the Simpson movie yesterday. Good stuff. I can see why it did so well in the theaters.
