The huge fat dudes on the pitch in American football are enough for me to say it's not a top sport. In Rugby or football there's no way you get a guy like that at the top -except Ronaldo perhaps. All of them are capable of running fast.
I can't say you're wrong on the ladies tho

Yeah, the build requirement is different for american rugby. Football is better cos more people play it.

I have no doubt that they are, but I think they'd lose out big time against rugby or football (soccer) players in terms of physical condition. I mean, American Football definitely has impressive athletes, but the huge fat dudes kinda ruin it for me. They might be hideously strong and well-trained, they're still fat with a big F.  I understand they need the weight to do their job well, but meh. Looks sloppy on a pro athlete.
