If i were to choose a martial art, it'd be Muay Thai a la:

Peter Aerts (His roundhouse)
Ernesto Hoost (His energy)
Remy Bonjasky (His knee)

You forgot Chuck Norris!!!

I bet Derf is already dead right now. He was struck by lightning the moment he hit the 'send' button on his post. Then Chuck Norris came over and roundhouse-kicked his corpse into orbit -just for kicks.

Peter Aerts uses Chuck Norris as his toothpick!

Oh, Arathorn? Did you notice anything (or any build up to) on 13th May in your country? With emphasis to Amsterdam?

Almost nothing. There was a short item about the Amsterdam K1 Grand Prix on some news site though. Mind you I'm not really into this. Just downloaded some Peter Aerts videos today. I'm in a sports mood today. I'm also downloading Dennis Bergkamp videos now. Shame he didn't play last night.

Haha, old gramps Bergkamp has passed it now btw. He wouldnt have fitted into arsenals 4-4-1-1 anyway as long as Henry was there. If i were him, id find another team and get some matches in before retiring instead of hoping Henry gets injured.

He said wednesday that if he'd been asked, he would have been in the Dutch world cup squad. Couldn't he have said that a little earlier?
Maybe someone could attack Vennegoor of Hesselink, I've got nothing against the guy, but if a player gets injured 24 hours before the first WC match, he can be replaced by a player of choice. Saw two goals of him today. One Holland - Argentina in '98, and one with Arsenal against Newcastle, both fabulous, he's such an artist.
This is also a great video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... q=bergkamp

Yeah, but arent the holland managers getting rid of the old-overpaid-under achiever squad and going for a fresh young squad that actually wants to win?

Yes but that rule doesn't count for Bergkamp.;)
History shows that younger sides more often win EC's and WC's, but you still need some experience. Vennegoor of Hesselink is old too, but not half as good as Bergkamp. He usually only scores when PSV is already a few goals ahead.

I'm really looking forward to the WC, and I'm prolly going to follow the youth EC a bit as well.

Yeah me too. England woulve had one of the best teams for a while, had that ogre rooney not gone an injured himself. It wouldve probably been:

GK - Robinson: Good and reliable from what ive seen. 100 times better than David James.

DF - Neville: As much as i hate him, he is the bread and butter full back for england. Reliable in defence, but thats about it.
DF - Cole: The only england fullback with a sprinkle of skill and speed. hes an ok defender too.
DF - Ferdinand: I think he's limited. He never impressed me, even with simple defensive duties.
DF - Campbell: Has had quite a dodgy season, but has recently sprung back. Solid defender when on form.

MF - Beckham: Class player. The move to spain has really upped his footballing culture and attitude.
MF - J. Cole: Skillful, quick and creative i think he's been one of the most effective Chelsea players this season.
MF - Gerrard: It seems this player is pretty solid. Personally, i wasnt impressed by his performance in the FA cup final because West Ham simply didnt mark him. He's still an exceptional player.
MF - Lampard: A good holder and strong attacker. Works hard.

ST - Crouch: OMFG. He is so shit.
ST - Defoe?: Dont know this guy.

Thats the team they have now. A couple of semi-able subs are available too, but not having any striker will castrate england. The midfield is most impressive, the defence is OK, but still shaky by default (England not knowing how to defend).

As for Italy, i know squat for this side. All i know is this new guy Luca Toni, which i supposed to be shit hot.

I think Beckham is vastly overrated. I'm not really into English football, but as far as I can see the squad is decent, although not spectacular. I even know less about the Italian team, but they're probably quite good too. It doesn't matter though, Brasil will win anyway.

Thats what everyone else is saying about Brazil. I prefer to reserve such judgement.

Yeh, i think all top-5 income earners in football are overrated, but i still think Beckham is a decent player. I think Ronaldinho is overrated.
