Brain cells coupled with silicon circuits
heh..subject says it all.

Seems mildly terminatoresque. They were basically able to "glue" neurons onto a microchip using some sort of protein, and then pass electric signals back and forth between the two. Other than the Frankenstein factor, this is pretty damned cool. I'd love to be able to hook my brain up to a computer, assuming a few things:
1. The computer has no outside contact at all (no hacking)
or
2. The computer is hooked up in such a way that it would only be accessible by actively wanting to be accessed and acts more like extended memory or something.
The idea of someone hacking my brain and turning me into a zombie isn't too appealing.
