Terrorists need history lessons, or they might pass them off a propaganda from our point of view.

Stating the obvious here; the relative calm probably stems in the experience with the IRA's bombings. The UK has a history with terrorism, while the US had little or none before 9/11. And the scale of destruction is vastly different, of course.

I'd better learn to drive or I'll be forced to take much more buses, trams and trains. Knowing my luck I'll be right there when a bomb explodes. :) :?

we have experience with terrorism, just not to that scale. Oklahoma city bombing, the bombing of the trade towers, various other stuff. But anyway, yea. I'll go with that.

Perhaps we can throw in that this is also largely due to a general attitude of apathy and the fact that people here arent as easilu roused as others. Were too busy working.

I'd guess that generally bombings on america are more kind of important to the state it happened in, whereas 9/11 affected all of America plus the rest of the world, which of course scared the crap outta everyone. Whereas here, even if somewhere in northern scotland gets bombed, due to the smaller size of our country, we all feel kinda shocked and affected by it. Like the Omagh bombing... i dont even have a frigging clue where Omagh is, but i know the whole country was in shock for quite some time.

I think that's a trait of any Western society, tbh.

"If our society seems more nihilistic than that of previous eras, perhaps this is simply a sign of our maturity as a sentient species. As our collective consciousness expands beyond a crucial point, we are at last ready to accept life's fundamental truth: that life's only purpose is life itself."

The general feeling of apathy and nihilism in (secularized) Western society isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you don't have any grand ideals you're less likely to get into pointless wars over them. It's only the ideological fools (both in terms of totalitarian ideas and relgion) that feel like blowing the world to pieces over their precious phantasms.

Lol, you be a crazy f00!

Its not like that over here. Hoon, Blair and Clarke are constantly and rigorously cross exained in the Commons. Now MI5, thats another thing. Nobody knows a damn thing about MI5, therefore i dont know if they are direclty linked to power in a way that would see them interested in altering it.

Attack On London: Blair Plays The Terror Card
[quote]The attack on London represents a brutal attempt to coral the British population behind accepting the introduction of the national ID card, renewing support for the war on terror and reinvigorating trust in a government that had the backing of less than 15 per cent of the country.

Even at this very early stage it is clear that the evidence points to inside involvement.

The statement on a website from an unknown Al-Qaeda group claiming responsibility is exactly what we'd expect after such an event. Santa Claus could post a message saying he was responsible for the attack, does that make it so? Rupert Murdoch's Sky News are busy playing Al-Qaeda training videos with masked militants jumping through flaming hoops. The emotive propaganda is clear, these images are being linked in montages with past images of 9/11, the Bali bombing and the Madrid bombing and injured people crying in the streets.

Even if the police and government back away from the Al-Qaeda claim, which now appears to be the case, pro-establishment Neo-Con media outlets will repeat it like an endless drumbeat until it sinks in.

The key evidence thus far is as follows.

Original Associated Press and Israeli radio reports stated that Binyamin Netanyahu, the former Israeli Prime Minister received a warning before the first explosion that an attack was about to take place. Scotland Yard passed on a warning to the Israeli embassy who forwarded it to Netanyahu. Netanyahu was due to make a speech at a Hotel adjacent to the site of the first blast. He cancelled the speech and remained in his hotel room.

Arutz Sheva sourced Army Radio with the following.

"The Israeli Embassy in London was notified in advance, resulting in Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remaining in his hotel room rather than make his way to the hotel adjacent to the site of the first explosion, a Liverpool Street train station, where he was to address and economic summit."

For an hour after the first blast, the government and the news media were reporting that the cause was an electrical power surge. If the government knew bombs were going to go off before they did, why did they report for an hour that it was an accident? Were they trying to bide time so they could get their story straight?

Both Scotland Yard and the Israelis have since denied that they had any foreknowledge of the attack.

Since the original report, major TV news networks have been completely silent on the Netanyahu story. They are just repeating claims that there was no prior knowledge.

About an hour after the story broke, Associated Press started altering their online news stories, stating that Netanyahu got the warning after the first blast and not before. It seems as if they are scrambling to co-ordinate their cover story. Either there were no warnings or the warning was after the first blast. The dithering seems to suggest there is some confusion on how to successfully hide the smoking gun, the fact that Netanyahu was warned before the first explosion.

Why didn't the people on the trains and buses get the same warning?

On June 7th, MI5 downgraded the London terror alert from its second highest level “severe generalâ€

O thats ok, its just some of my referances backing up my claim that the government was behind the bombings but you dont have to read it and just my word for it.

i have no doubt governments are corrupt... however bombing the very town they are located in is perhaps a little stupid even for them. either way i dont care. people are corrupt, people will create stories or find ways otu of things.

Ok, well supposedly they found the people that did the bombing. It was some teenagers and young adults. Apparently in Leeds.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... _a_source=

Now, I know what your first thought probably is.
"O this is good, at least it wasnt terrorist who snuck into our country".

At least that was my first thought when I saw the news on Fox today. I thought, "Well, at least its not people from Iraq or Syria or something who snuck past the borders".

But I thought about it longer and I think that the people that the governement supposely found where living in England, this is a much worse senerio. Why?

Because now its an inside job, which means more security on its own citizens.

I believe this is a small step. Here me out.

First, the "govenment" bombs itself for years and years using the IRA as the scape goat. Try to incite its people for more security.

Then the US bombs Oklahoma city to try and do the same thing with no success.

So, what should we do? We will use arabic people as the scape goat and claim they are at holy war with us.

Thus, 9/11. 9/11 was americas attempt to incite war and more security on its people with a scape goat of militant arabic people whom has a leader that we never see and dont know if hes dead or alive.

9/11 is seen as a good means to incite its people and the "terrorist" are such a non tanglement enemy. With terrorist "cells" possible being anywhere and anyone this creates the image of a unseen enemy that never seems to die.

So britian gets on board in the war but the people of England dont really agree.

So now the world is primed.

Now the next step in gain more control over its people is what?

A new terrorist attack from within. A terroist attack from another country would only get people attention on that other country , BUT a terroist attack with turns neighbor against neighbor.

The governement will probably start to say that "we need better security" and a set of laws will be pass ( IE: the patriot act) that will take away from you englanders personal freedoms.

And with a bombing within, this turns the war on terror against its own people.

Now, you call me crazy but, I heard on Fox news, they had a report in Leeds. This reporter said the British government has said that their could be literally about 200 more of these terrorist cells of englanders, right now with about 50 ready to do attacks today.

Thats sounds like extremely accurate information. How would they know such a number? Maybe they used that number to prove that this is a growing problem and something must be done?

My predication.

The next US terrorist attack will consist of US citizens, just like in England. They will be US people whom have "extreme Islamic beliefs" just like these teenagers did.

I think the next terrorist target is France. That would send a message that there is nowhere you can run or hide.

Hear me now and believe me later. Englanders, be mindful of your human rights and be weary of any "new security bills" that go before your parliament
