So, anyway...it's freakin' Friday. I'm very much looking forward to spending my entire weekend writing a speech for Monday! YAY!

I'll mostly be sleeping and re-reading my thesis...handed in my last paper today, and only have my thesis 'defense' left coming Tuesday. But I'm pretty sure it'll be a slaughter rather than a defense, hehehe, the thing was pretty crap. But I can always hope for a lucky break.

Anyhoo, I'm physically and mentally broken atm, as usual I completely mishandled the time I had and did everything a day or two in advance; and I have a sneaking suspicion that it is going to bite me in the ass this time. Especially with this last paper...it was well-written and structured, but the central point of my discussion is basically insane: I claimed that a woman impregnated another woman and then wants to destroy the child. The worst thing is that because i started so late I could not really start over again and I worked out my paper on the basis of that psychotic idea. That is what you get with using every stimulant in your house to try and stay awake, I guess.

Not all is lost however, because I only need to score a 4-5 out of 12 to pass thanks to other parts of the class. let's hope my style and twisted genius will score me enough points.

actually, no, I'm taking a public speaking class during the summer. It's a degree requirement. By taking it in the Summer, I limit the pain to 5 weeks.

Dang, public speaking is the 1337 suck. I hate it with a vengeance...I'm a brilliant (modesty is for amateurs) orator in small groups, but I hate anything larger than 5 ppl. And most of all, I want interaction; not a bunch of monkeys staring at me. Erh...good luck, in any case. I'm a little puzzled how public speaking is a degree requirement in your business, though. (computers and software)

Public speaking is a core requirement for any degree in college. Along with history, english, economics, etc etc. Stupid, imo, but whatever.

Anyway....I like to waggle my lovewand.

lol. Who doesn't? And never knew that about American college, that's both neat and sucky. Over here, once you made it in college, you can kiss everything you don't want to learn anymore goodbye. Ie, I didn't have any maths, science or whatever (well, some marginal classes in statistics) during my entire college education. And I'm sure J didn't have to do any history or languages either.

On the other hand, it's good for general development...I think the idea over here is that you get that during high school (because unlike in the US, there is no picking specific courses there)
