I'm a bit too tired to watch it, spend the whole day in Antwerp, had some Leffes and wine, and bought Divine Divinity (never got to play that fully, think the demo wasn't that bad). I'm hearing the 'music' though, i think a few more drinks and i'm rolling over the floor here laughing my ass off.

I hope i didn't miss rock-granny yet.

Can they finally abolish it? That gay-only party costs the national broadcast organisation about a million a year I believe.

It's all good! Combine this with the skimpy outfits, the fake smiles and the inevitable point gifts (greece and cyprus always giving eachother 12, etc) and you've got a GREAT evening.

As for money spent on it...pff, only if you win and have to organize the show. Fat chance for Belgium and Holland anyway. :P there's a lot more money being wasted on even less entertaining stuff

Every participating country also pays for all the crap. that's why France and the UK are always through, even if they are wack, they just pay the most. ;)

hehe, i think they even qualify automatically for every contest (where the other countries have to go through the semi finals if they didn't get enough points last year). Along with Spain and germany, the other big guns.

And guess what, Spain, German, France and the UK all ended on the last 4 places.

The problem with eurovision is that the Eastern-European countries send their big stars, and we send unknown small fry. Sertab is a star in and around Turkey, the Moldavian punkrockers are really popular in E-Europe, etc. Our contestants aren't even popular in our own countries, let alone the rest of europe.

ooh divine divinity, good game ;)

hehe I used to always watch Eurovision... mainly coz its fun to laugh at the freaks we always enter who seem to think they stand a chance at a pop career. But now I can't stand the voice of Terry Wogan (the guy who presents it to us and i think he's a tosser) so i dont bother. Not to mention the horrible horrible voices some of those people have... *shudder* and the dancing! and the costumes!

*runs away screaming*

I heard on the radio today that the UK is contributing less taxes or something (dunno what exactly) to the EU, and the other countries make up for it. This since 1984 or so.
Now they want to put this difference straight again, but UK is refusing and threatening with veto-right (dunno on what).

My thoughts: just throw them out of the EU, they always have to do their own thing, don't want the Euro, can't even count in meters, ... .

SO just send all these tossers to some desert

Well, it's either joining the EU or forever be the US' bitch, so I think you'd prefer the EU. And the Euro rocks :)

i said "can't even count in meters", never said you don't use them
(*J pets himself on the back for a good comeback*)

Eurovision is a sure source for great kitsch, i hope it never stops. I still know some songs and dances from a few years ago, they didn't even score high or so, just because they were so over the top.

/starts singing

Say *say* say the password

SAPAGO S. A. P. A. G O

/performs some kind of robotic dance moves
