NetBux, Scam, or No Scam?
Well, I found one of those "pay-2-search" sites, called netbux.
Now, I'm no fool. I know these kind of things normally are a scam. But I've been surfing the web trying to find things about about it.
The basic gist is this.
you register. you search. you get 0.02 dollars for each search.
you can do up to 40 searches (0.80 Dollars)
You get a referall, you get 100% profit from their searches too.
if you get to $50, then you get paid on the 15th of the month.
The things that suggest to me, "not scam" are the fact that A, you pay no money at all to join, and B, they request no bank information.
All they request is that you register, and provide them with the email address to which they (should) credit you paypal account.
What suggests to me that it is a scam (other than my instincts) is this.
Person A, can earn up to 0.80 per day.
there are 27,000 current users.
let's assume that all these users are active.
Thats
$21600 in ONE DAY. so in one week thats
$151200
and that is NOT including referals.
From what I can see, if you use the reputable search engines (i.e. google)
the only money he gets, are from his adds, which fetch him $99 per week
thats 1527.27 Ads.
Smells fishy, but I have nothing to loose.
If you want to help me check it out, to see if it works, i will send you my referal link.

Nothing yet. Not hit the 50 dollar mark.
I've got my bro helping me hit the fifty dollars, but it's hard with just 2 peoples. So long as I can get the before 15th of next month.

Doesn't anyone wonder who they're reaching with the spam? I mean, can you imagine someone going "oh yeah, a penis enlargement looks cool, lets check out that very professional-looking site"?

I bet they track your surfing habits to try and build a consumer database on you (and your friends). Probably install spyware. Then they sell the database to advertisers. I'm also certain you will never see a dime.
