Of course it depends on your height. But 40 for a girl is above average i'd think.
Of course my thinking doesn't mean certainty (at all), so i tried looking for info, haven't found much except that in France, the average shoe size for women went from 37 to 40 in 30 years.

SO you prolly have an average size, i must have been misguided by my gf, who has really small feet.
