God he's dumb. (My Boss) Everyone hates him, and since our store manager left he is the highest rank available for the job. however, he can't read and write properly (dyslexia), I know I suck at spelling, but some one who has to send out emails that are related to the stores finances etc should have the minimum requirements of spelling to make an understandable email.

He has no authority, I only do what he asks because I feel sorry for him, everyone else just ingores him. He has Zero management skills.

Anyway....combat engineers. They're usually the ones dealing with explosives. Disabling mines. Blowing up crap. Building stuff too, but mainly they blow stuff up. Sound fun? How about running around with a pound of explosives in your little hands. While someone's shooting at you.

11b or ElevenBravo's, are infantrymen or grunts. They walk through the woods or on the ground with gear on their backs, attacking enemy postions, patroling, secureing land areas or buildings. etc.

A good movie to watch is "Platoon" those guys where infantry.

combat engi's do what Satis jsut explained. Everything from demolitions to building bridges and stuff. But let me give you a better example.

CE's are useally attachted to a infantry unit. Like 1 platoon will have at least 1 or 2 CE's with them on a mission if demolitions is required.

And example would be a Russian trench.
A russian trench would be a hill or something where (Russians style) trenches are built and land is cleared around the trench. Makeshift bunkers are made, and barbed wire is strunge around the defensive trench.

It would be the infantry's job to destroy and clear the bunker (in real life it would have already been blown to bits by air strikes).

But before the infantry unit can clear the bunker the CE's must first destory the wire protecting the bunker. So the CE's would have there "Dead cord" ready and preped, the infantry would lay down supressing fire on the bunker with a M-60 (now a 240), and the 2 little CE's would run up to the wire, plant their explosives, run back and blow it up. Then infantry would assault the bunker where the CE's had breached the wire.

So the CE's would be the first people to die more than likely if proper suppression of fire was not laid down on the bunker.

Get it?

Anyway, what's the non-officer position in the army that's least likely to get you killed? So I know what to choose. Support troops seem to get ambushed and kidnapped all the time in Iraq, so that doesn't seem to be it.
