I left this conversation alone because I didn't want to get ticked off again... Anyway, there has been evidence of ocean levels rising. NPR had a report recently. Here is a link from NASA showing one of their missions is studying the rising levels. It's about 5 months old.

Most people have no grasp of geologic time. Even something as dynamic as the human race has it's impacts put through slow motion. For instance, the damage to the ozone layer that we see now was done in the 40's and 50's. The damage we have been doing will take about 50 years to come into effect. As you can imagine, the use of ozone depleting chemicals has increased exponentially since then. Most estimates expect the ozone holes near the poles to increase 300-400% by then. If we are impacting global warming, we won't be able to see it measurably now. It will be our children and grandchildren that have evidence of how badly we have screwed them.
That said, it is equally moronic to claim that global warming is not an issue, as it is to say that it is a sign of the second coming. It is stupid to say "it's nothing to worry about". I was forced to listen to Rush for nearly 2 hours a day for a school year. Unless he has changed since then, Rush is nothing more than a shock jock for the conservatives. He has made up his mind before even understand the issue, and then gropes around for whatever he can find to back himself up. He dismisses evidence to the contrary, without even considering it. There are democrats that are just as bad. My point is, I would trust Rush's opinion about as much as I would trust Howard Stern.
