Satis, sometimes, when I use my emails to see the new answers from the topics I've had a say in, I get a window asking me to log in, once I've done that, it will send me to the topic, how come it doesn't do it all the time and could you make sure it does do it all the time because it is helpful espicially when I forget to log in and make my comment as a guest

erm, I'll take that under advisement. Except I have no idea how to do it. I may look into it though, thank you for the suggestion.

Sounds like a cookie issue, though I can't be certain.

hrmmm. But if the cookie's not set, shouldn't the forum automatically require a login? If it does it sometimes, but not others, is it a cookie problem, or something funky with the forum software? I have no clue where to even start looking.

Is this occuring when you come to the main page, or when you go to reply? Can you post a screen shot of what happens when you get this?

From when I go to reply from my hotmail account, usually I either get it asking me to log in first, asking me to log in when I make a reply or I'm already logged in because i was on here the day before

Hmmm... Do you mean the web interface for hotmail? I know they use a frame for displaying outside links, and that could potentially screw up trying to pass GET info.
Let me ask another question (and you may have to wait and see about this one - or deliberately test it). When you are forced to enter your user name and password BEFORE you reply, is it ONLY for the special forums? eg: mod forums.

I think that might be it, it would make sense since I'm allowed on the specialised forums for the walkthrough and stats. and the first message I got today was one of the stats ones. It would be nice if you had to do it for the rest of the stuff, and guests could have something that says, sign in as guest or something along those lines. Or could you when you're replying to topics, have a log in thing? it would be nice cos that means lazy people such as myself, don't have to remember to sign in then find the topic that I was answering.
