I've been noticing that the site tends to be slow lately, any special reason for that? It's still quite fast, but noticable less than usual.

I noticed it too, so it`s not (just) spyware and such messing ox` computer up. Sometimes there are no problems at all, but sometimes it gets real slow here, i`ll try to remember the time if it happens again, maybe it`s just at certain hours (like when you guys are sleeping).

Could be an abuser on the server, or someone running an intensive cron job. How often does it occur?

Hard to say, every couple of days i guess. It`s like the server is overloaded and i can`t connect immediately, and it takes a while before i get connection. Or i post something and it takes so long to go back to the topic that i copy the message so that i don`t have to type everything again, not that that happened yet but you never know.

yea, always a good idea. I've noticed some server outages lately. They tend to be short-lived, but still. Not much I can do about it unless I'm willing to jump hosts, which I'm not too keen on. I appreciate the reports, but there's probably little I'll be able to do. There's nothing wrong with the things I can personally control.

My last webhost "Imhosted" sucked. The price was right but the performance was shit. My websites where always down and slow. So I moved to Jumpline.com and got the VDS plan. Runs like a champ now, and I get SSH access so I can really screwed some stuff up. Best thing of all, if someone else crashes their sites, mine stays up.

It`s going pretty slow right now, check the hour of this post, since i only know it`s 13u15 here and don`t know how many hours you guys are away (6 back?)

5 minutes ago it was fine btw and by the time i posted this it`s a lot better as well. So it`s as if i had a serieus lagspike here (other internetpages went smoothly), but i can live with it.

lol by the time i edited the first post to say it was over it was real slow again. Not easy to report things correctly :P

lol. Aight, I'll keep an eye on stuff. I don't think I'm willing to dump Powweb yet for another host...they've been mostly good to me. But I'll always keep the possibility. SSH access...hehe.. rm -rf /!

yea, europe if 6 hours different from me. 6 hours ahead. so, 13:15 hours would make it 7:15am my time.

could be. Jumping the atlantic always introduces some lag. It's inevitable, even with fiber optics. Of course, it's the repeaters and routers that introduce most of the lag, but still.
