Beside number of posts that some user have posted, it will be interesting to see how much kilobytes of text he actually posted.

After that it can be allowed for any post to be rated by interisting/useful/... scales. Then comes creating graphics which determine quantity/quality of texts/posts. It would be interesing toy at end.

Don't snap to you Satis, but if you can attach it from PHPBB, why not to try it.

Do you have an existing mod that can do this? I'm not sure how any mod can accurately gauge the quality of someone's posts, though. Quantity, however, should be easy enough.

You could even do it in one query. Satis, if you want to give me temporary db access, I would write the code. Not that complicated if you want to tackle it yourself. It would be interesting to see. Might be able to make it more accurate by parsing out [ quote ] stuff. Course that would also make it a lot slower.

Creating the graphics would be simple arithmetic once you have an array of size and users.

erm... I can give you temp db access. I'm still working on my timecard thing. :) Fully functional, I might add, and finally (relatively) secure.

I did not say "You make my genitals itch!" One of the admin changed my shit.

All what I meant is to throw that job on ck members. To allow to any member to rank any post. Never intended to let AI to do that.

gPig, maybe I just fooly, but I want to make sure that thing will be done well. Ok?

Your post sounds like you'll calculate all amount of posted characters for every involved user on every time someone press refresh or visit some topic. If it is that you meant, I suggest other thing. I think that every member already have tis ID. You can make one array ARR which you can index with users IDs.

When user with ID 'GFreeman' post something, you just add amount to ARR['GFreeman'].
When post of 'GFreeman' is deleted just subtract proper amount from ADD['GFreeman'].
Some times, admin can refresh (recalculating overall ARR).
When you need amount of 'GFreeman', you just call ARR['GFreeman'].

That should be most efficient solution.
