benefit of quick-reply: some of our users are on very slow connections, and across the world. This means they can reply without having to wait for a reply page to load. The template-caching I instituted should help with lag, too. google mod: Google can index my sight as much as it wants (and it has). However, the google bot has something against session ids, which is what is used in these forums to make everything work. What the mod does is strip off the session ID for the googlebot (and inktomi slurp) so that they don't get pissy and leave. So, basically, this forum will soon be searchable. That way if someone does a search for help with something that we talk about on here, they may land here and post... more users, more posts, more happiness. |
