Post market price, older computer
My friend is selling me his old computer (bought a new one), and I agreed to pay him a fair market value (need a box to test installing server software). I just got my hands on it, but still not sure what it would be worth on today's market. Here are the specs

PIII
128 MB RAM
NVIDIA TNT 2 M64 4xAGP vid card
floppy drive
DVD ROM
CD-RW
Zip drive (no discs though)
I've never worked with a computer with a partitioned drive, but I'm guessing that is what this is. The device manager says the hard drive is assigned to both C and D drives. C has 34.2 GB capacity, and D has 7.84 capacity. Together that makes 42 GB.

TIA

*done*

You were pretty incomplete and indefinite.

Well, components from the list here are (if I buy them in market here) about (an approximate value) 300EU.

Anyway, i don't know shit about these things, just wanted to help derf out, he stays the king of course.

Since it's a used computer, i think 11b is pretty close, i know it isn't worth much.

You would probably get more money out of it by selling the parts individually instead of the whole system.

Yeah, but since Pig is going to buy it from someone (if i understand it right) we aren't going to consider the individual components, the guy sells the whole thing.

But generally speaking you're right of course, at least if you can sell everything and don't get stuck with some parts that are useless to you.

Includes the monitor? Hell, you coul resell the monitor alone for $50 (or more, depending on the size). Of course, that's about the only part of the computer that's managed to hold any real value.

How fast is the CPU... P3's range from 500mhz to well over 1ghz... that would affect the price a bit... What kind of ram is it? SDRAM or DDR? How much memory is on the vid card?

Christ Mole, aren't we the plotting one lately. How about you just send me your PC so I can "fix" it. I'll send it back. I promise.
