I have bunch of BMPs in many directories and I need them all converted to JPG. I'm sure there is downloadable freeware for that but I forgoten name of one I knew. Have you idea where to find software for this? |

You might try to search www.sourceforge.net for it, it has a huge collection of open source projects, with a little bit of luck also what you are looking for. After a quick search, this might be a good candidate: http://sourceforge.net/projects/babysee/ |

thats exactly what i need, cos i have a bunch of DVD movie captures but in BMP and theyre too big. |

use Jasc Paint Shop Pro. There's a batch feature (under file) that'll let you batch convert a whole bunch of files. What more, you can actually set up scripts that will crop, resize, do filters (and damn near anything else you want) to a whole bunch of files. Very very handy, not to mention that PSP is a pretty good graphics program as well. |
