  boxed processors'kay, does anyone know if the fan you get along with the heatsink with boxed intel P4's is actually up to the job or do you suggest a better one?

I think they supply it with one that is good enough. Otherwise they won't keep many customers.

Yes the standard Intel is good enough for even overclocking. In fact it ran much cooler than my thermaltake volcano.

Anyways, i'm looking to put together the pieces of my two old pc's and make a 1337 dos gaming monster!!! 1) pentium 75, 32MB ram, 800mb HD (w00t!), mobo (duh), cdrom drive, semi-broken keyboard, absolutely broken mouse, 17" screen. 2) pII 450mhz, 128MB ram, mobo.

not building as such, but swapping my p4 1.5 to either a 2.8 or 3 gig, plus my shitty g4 ti 4200 to a hercules 9800 pro. hopefully in the next few months.

Also, if you are useing a Intel standard fan that you have already used before make sure to remove that black crap off the bottom of the heat sink and use some Artic silver or some other kina of thermal grease. The black stuff on the bottom of the standard intel fan is only good after 1 use.
