I'm sorry, but I have no experience with partition commander, so I really can't help. You may want to check in on partition magic, or maybe check forums dedicated to partition commander.

If you're tired of messing with it, I'd suggest an fdisk and reinstall. With an 8GB hard drive, my personal recommendation would be just to kill both partitions and remake them as one. You may want to think about buying another hard drive as well... 8GB isn't very much anymore.

Of course, if you lack a cd burner backing up your info may be a bit tough. Anyway, lemme know if you have any more questions I may be able to answer.
