 xp tweaks (IDE ATA/ATAPI) settings Hello once again,
I found out what the problem was and this is FYI just in case you have anyone else ask the same question.
There is an advanced tab on the properties in XP Home Edition however if you happen to have the Intel Application Accelerator installed on the system, for some reason the "advanced" tabs don't appear. To resolve the issue, uninstall the Intel Application Accelerator, make the wanted adjustments, then reinstall the Application Accelerator.
Worked like a charm.

Does that mean you can return a bundled O/S and get the money back? Now that would rock. Give back the overpriced windows O/S bundled with a system and install Linux instead.
