... to prevent stupid spyware from changing your start page?
The immunization option of Spyware Search & Destroy doesn't work against it. Maybe there is some way to disable changing your registry?

I know how to get rid of my spyware ( Spybot Search & Destroy), but I want to prevent my register to be changed to avoid having to change my startpage back every two hours.

You ppl still don't seem to understand my problem. I can get rid of spyware any moment I like without sweat, but I want to prevent spyware to change my registry (in order to change my homepage), because I'm getting very annoyed by having to change my home page at least every day.

Erm, the reason you still haveto change your homepage, is because you think you have no more spyware. You obviously do. Its is abnormal to get new spyware every day so, therefore your OS is fucked.

Yet again, reinstall your OS and youll have no more probs. (unless you reinstall Kazaa or some shit.)

between ad-aware and spybot search and destroy, I've never had any issues. I'd recommend running both of these. Make sure they're fully updated. If that doesn't fix your problem, an OS reinstall may be the only option.

Derf is right... you're not getting the same spyware/adware every 2 hours or whatever. In order to get spyware/adware, you have to go to a bastard site or download something with it embedded.. I doubt you're doing this every 2 hours. So, you've got something running that's screwing stuff up.

As far as your question, the only thing you could do in your registry is remove the program that's doing this... but good luck finding it. There's nothing you can do to 'protect' your home page settings or whatever.

Check out "immunize" on spybot. There is an option to prevent your home page from being changed.
