It was the same on my old laptop. The windows serial was on a spot where it would chafe on surfaces the laptop would be on, making it illegible after a while. Prolly so they can get you to buy another windows copy should that one get fucked.

So i made a list of laptops for my brother to choose from and he chose a dell latitude. It came preinstalled with windows 7 professional 64 and 8 gb of RAM. But the fuckers put a 32bit windows 7 disc into the box. I honestly didn't see this coming, for once i thought i won't be screwed over but.. And what kind of a retard sticks the windows 7 licence key under the battery when i need it during the installation. Amazing, just fucking amazing. First and last time a Dell enters my household. |

You realize there are other ways to obtain Windows? I own a Dell right now and I'm very happy with it. It's held up great even though it's 3 years old now. So to each their own. |
