The videos are pretty cool, especially the one where two opposing groups are fighting an indoor battle. Try and see.

Unfortunately as of yesterday, i have to report the death of Thermaltake PSU. After two years of service, the PSU failed and died, and was taken to components graveyard, you god damn bastard will not be missed, traitor.

lol. 2 years isn't too bad. It's not great either, but it's better than 3 months (which has happened to me before). Now you can upgrade! hehhe

Im thinking of upgrading:
1. 2x6800Ultra... TO 1x9600GT
2. Sony G520 CRT... TO Asus LS201 or LS201D, i do not know at this time what the difference is between the two.

Hmm i get a score of 4209 on 3dmark06 and i see people getting less than that with 8600 GT. So would a 9600GT even be an upgrade?

2 x 6800 ultras is still pretty decent, you want to be looking at a 8800GT or for a little more a 8800GTS.
Both are better than the 9600, even if it is a newer card.
The GT you can get over here for around £150+, a GTS for around £180+
Btw, just noticed your full spec, if you do get a new card it will be very bottlenecked by that CPU you have, you might want to consider a dual core. You can get some decent ones for about £140

9600gt here is around 250$ and everything else is above that.
8800gts 640 is 475$
8800gts 320 is 360$
8800gt 512 is a bit over 300$ - 310$
Im looking for a minor upgrade since, well other than fallout 3, theres not much im looking forward to this year.
EDIT: Well the cpu's are cheaper than 140$ but they all seem to be for AM2 and im not sure my Mobo supports that.
EDIT2: Yeah i would have to go for a new MoBo for the CPU coz i cant find any socket 939 Dual cores available in shops, they are all AM2 now.
EDIT3: So i pulled a list from Wikipedia, this would be the best AMD cpu i could fit.
Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2400 MHz 2 x 1024 KiB 1000 MHz 12x 1.30-1.35 V 110 W Socket 939 May 31, 2005 ADA4800DAA6CD
Or from FX
Athlon 64 FX-60 2600 MHz 2 x 1024 KiB 1000 MHz 13x 1.35-1.40 V 110 W Socket 939 January 9, 2006 ADAFX60DA

The X2 is the one you want for sure, it must be pretty cheap by now.
I was actually talking about this version of the GTS, the newest one...

Less memory but still quicker.
If you don't want to spend that, either go with the GT imho or change your CPU and see how your games run after that, you'll still see a boost. At least you can still change your GPU later.

I think that the 8800GTS and 9600GT pretty much perform the same on my system. So theres really no point in paying more.
I would actually like to make the CPU upgrade but ffs i cant find socket 939 on sale anywhere!?! They are all AM2 and its not backward combatible.
I found one on sale, its price was roughly 1000$
I found the 4400 version on sale for roughly 800.

That was my problem, I had the 3700+ and i had to change the board, etc, so I just brought all new.
Might be worth looking at a new socket board, trouble is 775 will be changed soon, no idea about AMD these days, intel are wiping the floor with them.

Well i asked around and it seems that no large distributor has s939 CPU in their inventory so its pretty much safe to say that no trustworthy source has it for sale.
I guess ill just have to satisfy with a new monitor. Bah.
