Well the SSD arrived today, 2 days late. So i am not going to fiddle with it today, going to leave that for tomorrow. I was doing some research on gtx460 and hd6850 and in all honesty it is almost impossible to tell which is better, both in performance and value. Currently they cost the same here, all the reviews use non-reference cards whenever these two compete and the drivers have changed the results as well.

grats on getting your SSD. I can't give advice on the graphics card choices... I'm an nvidia whore, after all. If you do opt for the 460, make sure it's the one with 1GB of RAM, not 768MB.

So the upgrade is done.

Switched to SSD, Win7, a new PSU and GPU. Can't really get my speaker system to work normally in surround sound setup, the rear speakers sound muffled/distorted, so i just force all speakers to be front speakers. One thing that worked better in XP.

Cool! Does that mean your crashes have been helped too Peltz? And that you can be conscripted for MoW again? ;)

If so...let's get a game going on Sunday (if everyone can make it)!
