So does this game now have a good number of mods to make it decent? E.g. Oblivion and FO3 needed 6-12 months after release for the community to make mods that would make the game enjoyable for me.

I think we're getting there. I haven't kept up with it to make it better to get back to later on though, so do'nt take my word for it.

Either way you shouldn't buy it yet for various reasons:

- there's a Steam sale coming up
- the first expansion/DLC is coming up (which will feature a whole lot of new things that should have been in the original, like fighting on horseback)

In short, probably shouldn't buy it yet.

Mods I'm running on Skryim atm:

- Better Werewolf
- Sounds of Skyrim (2-3 of them)
- Unofficial Patch
- SkyUI (duh)
- Midas magic
- House Map Markers
- Better quest objectives (better descriptions in quest logs)
- Enhanced High-Level Gameplay
- Unread Books Glow

(all found in the steam workshop)

Probably gonna install

- Val’s Crafting Meltdown (better crafting, more logical too - can smelt weapons and armor with it, fletch arrows - not on steam workshop iirc)
- Realistic maps + roads (adds roads to the world map, makes it look better - on steam workshop)
- Build your own home (also pretty obvious, on steam workshop)
- Dragon Falls Manor (steam workshop)

And a whole lot of texture, skies, and shades mods. I'll probably wait with my second playthrough until Dawnguard hits the PC though.

I went through looking for texture mods shortly after getting my graphics card, but didn't find that much. Figured I'd wait for an expansion or two for the hardcore texture overhauls to show up.

There are quite a few really great graphical mods out, actually. If you want I'll go dig them up for you. With your new GPU and some performance mods you should be able to make the game looks absolutely stunning. I was actually wandering on the RPS forum and found some guy's screenshots. There's a boatload of them so I won't post them ALL (just a lot of them  ). When asked what he used, he answered that he just used the top rated graphical mods he could find and a screenshot free-camera program.

Think I asked before, but are you using Sharpshooters ENB mod?

Great shots by the way.

Thanks. Yeah it is Sharpshooters and a few others like detailed faces, better meshes, better vegetation etc. I just went to skyrim nexus and looked in all the mod categories, filtering on most endorsed.
