Trolls are easy, just find a nice spot and whack 'em till they're dead. If they spot you, in my case I can either just run backwards hitting them cause the occasional stagger and/or knock them over anyway - even then I can often out run them. Yes, I know your question was to satis
And also, don't forget the blade experts can perform a knock down attack aswell - this may be what is sending you (and me a few times) flying across dungeoun corridors.
Anyway, I'm researching. For some reason my Mercantile skills is no longer rising, at all. I'm haggling etc, but just not get any gains

my speed is in the 80s (along with acrobatics), so I don't have much trouble staying away from most foes. Trolls are fast, but I'm still able to stay out of their reach most of the time.
Mountain lions, however, are fast. I got pwned by one recently. I came running out of a cave (getting pwned by a will o wisp) and the mountain lion whooped me.

Hehe, so you can both easily manage trolls, aight. They just looked totally fast to me, but apparently not fast enough.
P.S. for you archers: there'sa cupboard in the Bruma smith's store that holds some fancy stuff, among which 50 (!) elven arrows. The sweet thing is that they weren't marked as 'stolen', you could just take them and no one said anything. So I'd encourage you to go check it out...on your levels, it might be much better than elven. And still free.

is there actually a difference between arrows? I haven't noticed any major difference between using iron, steel, and dwarven. Or silver, but silver works against ghosts and stuff, which is nice.

The amount of damage is greater the better the arrow. Very noticable if your stuck with crappy steel arrows, and find a nice stash of ebony ones
And yeah, I fucking hate mountain lions. Hard hitting and fast.

well, maybe I should dump my stupid iron arrows then and start using solely steel, with dwarven for the hard opponents.

Dwarven arrows are my favourite - not for the damage, but they feel so nice. Them little prongs going in to the enemies flesh

I don't like anything dwarven tbh...it's ok if you're a freakishly strong stud, but on the whole dwarven tends to be really heavy compared to the quality (both in the armor and weapons department). Orcish is much to be preferred, much lighter.

yep, its a nice alternative when all you have is steel, and it looks funky, but its not worth holding onto for any other reason.

my enemies are starting to drop glass arrows and whatnot...I'm using up my steel and probably will sell all the iron arrows I've collected. Then it's on to dwarven and elven arrow, with some glass as backup.
Ouch. imagine being shot by a glass arrow.

I went in to a dungeon recently, there was a huge (oblivion huge anyway) Orc War going on. There were about 14 orcs, battleing it out. I sniped out what I could, went in for the loot. There were over 1500 Steel Arrows.

No, I use them to kill things with, and 1500 arrows is a nice addition which saves me having to buy the buggers.
