I'm too lazy to read all of it, so can someone quickly tell me, is Bioware involved or not? They said they only wanted to do things in their own IP for time coming at least.

Neverwinter Nights 2 will be developed by Obsidian Entertainment, founded by Feargus Urquhart who, as the President of Black Isle Studios, was responsible for the publishing of the Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series and the development of the Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment franchises, both powered by BioWare Engine Technology, as well as overseeing the creation and development of the Fallout series. BioWare will provide tools, technology, and game assets from the original Neverwinter Nights as well as lend creative input and oversight to the development process.

I just hope they have some better terrain making features, I hear too many rumors to count on anything. I hate having to resort to haks for hills and mountains. And I wish the color white would really mean white in NWN2, not piss vomit grey
Black Isle hasn't let me down too much yet.

Well, at least it's dying, and it's time someone puts it out of it's misery.

bah, people said that shit in the early 90s. Then we had shit like Baldur's Gate and Planescape:Torment come out. People said Star Wars was dead, and then we had games like Jedi Academy and KOTOR. Give it time...eventually, someone's bound to get it right.
Besides, there's a D&D MMO being made.

The D&D sytem is very flawed. It's a tabletop game changed for use in CRPGs, but as such it can't match a system designed for CRPGs. Apart from that, the franchise isn't that great or even original.
Star Wars is a different story. It's a unique and very good license that's just abused for too long by it's parent company. There's no problem with Star wars, there's a problem with LucasArts.

To tell the truth, I'd much rather play Fallout 3, but thats still a nice far-off dream....
Everything is better in the post-apocalyptic world.

A post-apocalyptic setting is always very charming yes, makes you wish more games were made like that.
