It is a spoiler for the very start of the game but oh my god, it looks like someone resurrected Baldurs Gate and dressed it up in a pimp outfit.

What scares me the most is that its made by Obsidian. And they are well known for the ability to insert the most ridiculous amount of bugs in their video games.

Could be worse. It could be EA.

Sad but unsurprising news

http://www.polygon.com/2014/2/8/5393310 ... ng-release

Obsidian Entertainment's crowd-funded role-playing game, Pillars of Eternity, will not launch in the first half of 2014 due to its substantial size, project lead Josh Sawyer recently told Eurogamer.

Not too bothered too. I hope they take their time to get everything right. I'd much prefer that than a half-baked earlier release.

First half of 2014? We're already in the second half. I suppose you meant 2015?

Crap I found the wrong delay news. That was the FIRST time it was delayed, hahaha. Gaming industry for ya.

Quote:
Fallout: New Vegas and South Park: The Stick of Truth developer Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming PC RPG Pillars of Eternity has been delayed. The game was previously pegged to launch before the end of the year, but this is no longer the case, Obsidian announced today.

"To incorporate as much feedback as possible, polish every nook and cranny of the game, and make sure we don't ship a buggy game, Obsidian has decided to push the game's release into early next year," the studio wrote in its forums today. "We are going to use the extra time to make Eternity shine for our backers, and a game that we were proud to call our own and would live up to your expectations."

In another statement, Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart said pushing the game to 2015 will allow the developer to make a game that it can be "rightly proud of."

We all know you failed that already. Every game Obsidian has ever launched has failed that goal. Unless a buggy mess is something they are proud of.

This game can be the biggest pile of crap ever, I no longer care. Why? Because the bonus preorder item that I'm going to get is a Miniature Giant Space Piglet that glows in the dark.

I swear though if it doesn't go "oink" in a ridiculously cute fashion when I click on it repeatedly I will hurt someone.
