Yeah I meant how did the situation between the kingdoms of the North get resolved? Kaedwin (Henselt), Redenia (Radovid), Aedirn (prince Stennis) and Temeria? Did the girl Anais - Foltest's only remaining heir, unless Adda is still alive from Witcher 1 - make another appearance and if so, how did events unfold?

In my second run I let Roche kill Henselt (not for the rape of Ves per se, but when he started to gloat about it...jeez. So go Roche, kill the fat pig!) in Vergen, and I don't think Stennis made it to the final deliberations either. I also chose to rescue the girl and kill Dethmold, instead of going after Triss.

So it was just Radovid and Roche and the girl at the council, and Roche agreed to a marriage of convience between her and King Radovid when the girl came off age, so that Redenia and Temeria would be united as one great kingdom. He thought it was the best solution for Temeria for now, and as a kingslayer he would be protected enough in service of the Redenian Queen if word ever got out.

I should check my first save to see what happened again in my first game! I only remember the major lines.

Ah, in mine, after I killed the dragon, I ran into Roche with the girl and a bunch of soldiers trying to kill him. I let him kill Henselt as well, and it was Henselt's men. After dispatching them, the girl got sent off somewhere to get older and come back later to reclaim her birthright.

Must not read spoilers...

I'm gonna get this game at some point, I never finished the first one, anyhoo I grabbed the extended version from GOG and I've been playing through the last week or so, in chapter 2 I think, in the swamp.

No idea why I wasn't more into it at the time. baffles me

Loving it, if the second is better it must be unreal.

Yea, the second one is better. the first had some pacing issues... parts were just WAY too long and drawn out. The second is more evenly paced. Interested in hearing your choices.

Yeah, since me and Satis differed pretty much on some parts it'd be interesting to hear a third voice. And I would say that overall, in terms of polish and ambition, The Witcher 2 is definitely better than the original. But the original was more of a PC game. Still, this is hardly a dumbed-for-console game. Heartily recommended. :) If it wasn't for Portal 2 , definitely my GOTY so far. And it's really close (and they're very different genres).

Yeah, parts just seem to go on forever...in chapter 3 now, clearing out salamandra dens.

Still neutral, but I think I will choose the order, I have sympathy towards the non-humans but leaving woman and children alone in a crypt full of ghouls to die? I aint down wit that. No sir.

Haha, yeah, things can get complicated morally speaking. Be sure to post what you ended up doing, I'm always interested. :)

Will do

Btw, in the first chapter I chose to side with the witch, the villagers were a dodgy bunch for sure.
