Having read all but the most recent book, I hope they make something great out of it. Certainly the lore is there for a really immersive world.

saw it too - not too familiar with the books so I can't say I'm chuffed, but it's worth keeping an eye on (as I've heard a lot of good things about the series and it's Obsidian doing it).

the series is a combination of meh and awesome. Some of the plot "twists" become to repetitive as to be ridiculous. On the other hand, the over-arching storyline is pretty cool. And with 12 books or whatever, the geography and lore of the various countries and factions are very well fleshed out. Wheel of Time could easily be turned into an MMO, so I hope they do an RPG justice.

I'm excited by this a bit. I'm currently reading the most recently out book that was worked on with the other dude since Jordan died. So far that book is not too bad although there is a style difference. It would be fun to play a Ashaman blowing holes in the earth and killing people.
