The MMO-topic is getting messy, and i'll probably have more questions to ask, so i just created a new topic.

First small question: i can't seem to figure out how to use the abilities of my rings. No doubt it's very straightforward, but i'm just missing something somewhere somehow. Annoying.

So: how do i cast their spells/ use their charges?

drag and drop the item onto your quick bar, then just click it when you need it. If the item isn't equipped, clicking it once equips it, then clicking it a second time uses the charge.

Mm thought i tried this. Probably hadn't equiped it and just single-clicked. Thx, now i can finally use that ring of featherfall when i fall down a cliff again :P

Make sure you target yourself or someone else, not sure if it works otherwise, I could be mistaken though.

I think it automatically targets yourself if you have an enemy or something targeted. Or if it's a self-only spell. That's my experience with spells as a cleric.

They don't work in midair either. You have to be standing like the water breathing items. Always makes me crazy I should be able to use it whenever I need it while swimming. /sigh

Ah yes that's probably what went wrong: i was trying to use the waterbreathing spell in the water, on a ladder, under water ... but not standing.

So no featherfall when i'm crashing down i guess then? I have to use it before i accidently fall ... mm :roll:

Don't worry, i'm sure you can purchase that option via a micropayment. :P ;)

Pff bastards :wink:

1) Should i keep all the scrolls i find? To give them to you guys that is, don't see me rerolling a mage anytime soon. Or should i just sell them?

2) There probably is a good reason why you didn't or can't, but why don't you buy the levelling sigil in the DDO store Satis? You should get these points free ingame (i've got 100 of them) and the price of it is 50. If i hit my lvl cap before finding the sigil i know how i'll be spending those points.

sell them, im a mage, my inv is full of em and i dont use them atleast not yet.

@J:

I did buy the sigil from the store. :p I would just rather loot them. Shiny's gotten one for all 3 of her characters. :roll: I've loot zero.

Re: the scrolls, go ahead and sell them. They can be helpful, though... if it's a spell you don't know (as a mage) you can buy spell inscription components and scribe the scroll into your spellbook. However, I've gotten most of the level 1 scrolls already. If you find level 2 or level 3 spells that are for mages I may be interested.

Peltz, are you a wizard or a sorcerer? Only wizards have to worry about the spell inscription, since sorcerers have access to the full repertoire of spells via their trainer.

btw.... I may have mentioned the dwarf barbarian I made. He's a freakin' badass. 18 strength, 17 con, big ass axe... he just tears through shit like butter. I just got him the heavy armor feat so he should be less susceptible to stabbing. :roll: He's fun as hell to play though... I invested a bunch of points in jump too, so I can jump higher than I stand tall. Friend Goresplatter when you get the chance. :twisted:
