Post Tired of Cowled Wizards?
I don't know if you found out this allready, but if you don't like Cowled Wizards & have a problem with paying 5000 gp to buy yourself a licence for magic, then try this:

Use magic every day in Athkatla, and fight them each time. After a day or two, the "boss" is going to appear. Wach out - this one is allmost as strong as Kangaxx. After you dispose of him, you can use magic whenever you want...

Oh, and by the way, If you ever need any extra cash, buy 2-3 potions of master thievery. Use them, and then steal/sell any valuable artifact from a merchant in "Maevar's Guild".
It's all done without any cheats 8)

Only one problem for that. I cast magic all the time and have no one cracking down, Fire, please note that this is an old tactic as well. If you want how about helping on the walkthrough, ask Satis for more.

Welcome Fire!

The buy/sell tactic is an old one, but in BGII I've never run out of cash so I never do that.

Yeah welcome dude, you should ask Satis about helping on the walkthrough!

Introduce yourself in off-topic, it's where all the 'interesting' stuff goes down! lol

Yea, we could add that to the FAQ. Wouldn't be too hard. I don't think the steal-sell-steal-sell thing really belongs, but I didn't know about the cowled wizards thing. Never really fought them, just paid my 5 grand.

You never had a cowled wizard party attack you cos of "illegal use of magic"?

Blah...like i'm gonna pay 5 grand to some wiseguy law enforcing biatch to allow ME, the great Rinox, to cast spells! I usually cast and cast till their final party with the grandmasters of the cowled wizards arrive, and whoop their sorry asses too. They carry good scrolls.
